Disappointing with Potential Room for Improvement Positive: The people living at the location were lovely, as there are many permanent tenants. The internet was ok. Laundry was available, just have to download an app to pay. The TV in the community living room was ok, and there were two vending machines available. There were also refrigerators available (tough to find room around the permanent residents' food). The lodging facility is essentially a dorm catering to young basketball players. It has vast potential, but sadly, due to a lack of care and an utter disregard for sanitation, the dorm poses safety hazards and is not recommended for transient stays. Negative: My stay at this property had several significant issues that future guests should be aware of. The address provided in the booking was inaccurate, leading to considerable confusion for me and ALL other guests I spoke with; we all had difficulty finding the location and had to rely on help from locals due to the host being unresponsive. If this is you, GO TO Google or Apple Maps and use "Holy Family School for the Deaf" or "Cill Dara House" as destinations. Both will lead you to the right vicinity. The address provided goes literally NOWHERE. And with the slow to non-existent communication with the host, it will be impossible to find. The check-in process was disorganized, with a long wait time and rooms not being prepared upon arrival. The cleanliness of the common areas and bathrooms was also a significant concern, with messy shared spaces and visible mold and scum in the bathroom facilities. Additionally, our room lacked a functioning lock, and the heating could not be turned off during a heatwave, resulting in an uncomfortable stay. Overall, due to the incorrect location information, lack of communication from the host, and issues with cleanliness and room comfort, I cannot recommend this lodging.
